Punto Banco Practices and Scheme

Baccarat Chemin de Fer Principles

Punto banco is enjoyed with 8 decks of cards in a shoe. Cards below 10 are counted at face value while 10, J, Q, K are zero, and A is one. Bets are placed on the ‘bank’, the ‘player’, or on a tie (these aren’t really people; they just represent the two hands that are dealt).

Two hands of 2 cards are then dealt to the ‘banker’ and ‘player’. The total for every hand is the total of the cards, but the first digit is dumped. e.g., a hand of five and 6 has a value of 1 (five plus six = 11; dump the 1st ‘1′).

A third card could be dealt using the rules below:

- If the player or house has a total of eight or nine, both players hold.

- If the gambler has five or lower, she takes a card. Players otherwise hold.

- If the player stays, the bank hits on a value less than five. If the player hits, a chart is employed to see if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The larger of the two scores wins. Winning bets on the bank pay out 19:20 (even payout less a five percent rake. Commission are kept track of and paid off once you leave the game so be sure to have cash remaining just before you depart). Winning bets on the gambler pays 1 to 1. Winning wagers for tie normally pays 8 to 1 but occasionally 9 to 1. (This is a bad bet as a tie occurs less than one in every ten hands. Avoid gambling on a tie. Although odds are substantially greater for 9:1 versus 8:1)

Played properly baccarat gives relatively decent odds, aside from the tie bet of course.

Baccarat Strategy

As with all games Baccarat has quite a few common misconceptions. One of which is the same as a myth in roulette. The past isn’t a fore-teller of events yet to happen. Tracking previous results on a chart is a waste of paper and a snub to the tree that gave its life for our stationary desires.

The most common and probably the most favorable method is the 1-3-2-6 technique. This method is used to pump up earnings and minimizing risk.

Begin by placing one chip. If you succeed, add another to the 2 on the game table for a sum total of 3 dollars on the second bet. If you succeed you will now have six on the table, take away four so you are left with 2 on the third wager. Should you come away with a win on the third bet, deposit two on the four on the table for a sum total of six on the 4th wager.

If you lose on the initial round, you take a hit of one. A win on the 1st round followed by a loss on the 2nd causes a loss of two. Wins on the 1st 2 with a loss on the third gives you with a take of 2. And wins on the 1st three with a loss on the fourth means you balance the books. Winning at all 4 bets gives you with twelve, a take of ten. This means you will be able to give up the second wager 5 times for every successful run of 4 rounds and in the end, experience no loss.
