Baccarat Rules

Baccarat is played with eight decks of cards in a shoe. Cards under ten are counted at their printed value while at the same time 10, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each equal to 1. Wagers are placed on the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual people; they just appear as the two hands to be played).

Two hands of 2 cards are then dealt to the ‘banker’ and ‘player’. The score for every hand shall be the total of the 2 cards, but the first digit is removed. For example, a hand of seven … 5 results in a total score of two (sevenplus5=twelve; drop the ‘1′).

A 3rd card could be given depending on the foll. regulations:

- If the bettor or banker has a value of 8 or 9, both bettors stand.

- If the player has 5 or less, he/she hits. Players stand otherwise.

- If gambler stands, the banker hits of 5 or lower. If the player hits, a chart might be used in order to ascertain if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The greater of the 2 scores wins. Victorious wagers on the banker payout 19 to twenty (even money less a 5 percent commission. Commission is kept track of and moved out when you leave the table so make sure that you have funds left before you leave). Winning bets on the player pay one to one. Winning bets for tie typically pays out at eight to 1 and on occasion nine to one. (This is not a good gamble as ties happen less than 1 every 10 hands. Stay away from laying money on a tie. Regardless odds are greatly better – nine to 1 vs. 8 to one)

Played smartly, baccarat provides generally good odds, aside from the tie wager obviously.

Baccarat Strategy

As with most games, Baccarat has some well-known misunderstandings. 1 of which is very similar to a misconception of roulette. The past is never actually an actual indicator of future events. Staying abreast of old results on a chart is definitely a complete waste of paper as well as an insult to the tree that gave its life to be used as our stationary.

The most common and possibly most successful strategy is the one-3-2-six technique. This technique is deployed to accentuate payouts and minimizing risk.

start by wagering 1 unit. If you win, add one more to the 2 on the table for a total of 3 on the second bet. If you win you will have six on the table, clear away 4 so you have 2 on the third bet. If you win the 3rd bet, add 2 to the 4 on the table for a sum of 6 on the fourth gamble.

If you lose on the initial bet, you take a loss of one. A win on the first bet quickly followed by loss on the second brings about a loss of 2. Wins on the first two with a loss on the third gives you a profit of 2. And wins on the first three with a loss on the fourth mean you come out even. Coming out on top on all four bets leaves you with 12, a profit of 10. In other words that you can get beaten the second bet 5 times for every successful streak of 4 bets and still break even.
