Baccarat Protocols

Baccarat is played with 8 decks of cards in a shoe. Cards which are valued less than ten are worth face value while at the same time ten, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each equal to 1. Bets are placed on the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual gamblers; they simply depict the 2 hands to be dealt).

2 hands of two cards will then be given out to the ‘banker’ as well as ‘player’. The total for any hand will be the grand total of the 2 cards, but the initial digit is removed. For eg, a hand of seven … five has a total score of two (sevenplus5=12; drop the ‘one’).

A third card can be played depending on the following rules:

- If the player or banker has a tally of 8 or 9, both players stand.

- If the gambler has 5 or lower, he hits. Players stand otherwise.

- If gambler stands, the banker hits of 5 or less. If the gambler hits, a chart might be used to see if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The higher of the two scores will be the winner. Victorious wagers on the banker pay at 19 to 20 (even odds less a 5 percent commission. Commission is kept track of and cleared out when you leave the table so ensure that you have cash remaining before you leave). Winning bets on the player pay one to 1. Winning bets for tie generally pay eight to 1 and sometimes nine to one. (This is a terrible bet as ties will happen lower than 1 every ten hands. Run away from wagering on a tie. Even so odds are vastly better – 9 to one versus eight to 1)

Played smartly, baccarat provides pretty good odds, aside from the tie wager obviously.

Baccarat Tactics

As with just about all games, Baccarat has some established myths. One of which is close to a roulette misconception. The past is in no way an actual indicator of future happenings. Keeping track of previous conclusions on a chart is undoubtedly a waste of paper … an insult to the tree that gave its life to be used as our stationary.

The most accepted and almost certainly most successful tactic is the 1-three-2-six concept. This tactic is deployed to increase winnings and controlling risk.

commence by gambling one unit. If you win, add 1 more to the two on the table for a total of three on the second bet. If you win you will have six on the table, remove four so you have 2 on the 3rd wager. If you win the third gamble, add 2 to the four on the table for a total of six on the 4th gamble.

If you lose on the 1st bet, you suck up a loss of 1. A win on the 1st bet followed by loss on the 2nd will create a loss of 2. Wins on the first 2 with a loss on the 3rd gives you a profit of 2. And wins on the first three with a loss on the 4th mean you come out even. Winning at all four bets leaves you with 12, a profit of 10. This means you can fail to win the second bet 5 times for every successful streak of four bets and still break even.
