Baccarat Banque Rules and Method

[ English ]

Punto Banco Principles

Baccarat chemin de fer is wagered on with eight decks of cards in a dealer’s shoe. Cards under 10 are counted at face value and with Ten, Jack, Queen, King are zero, and A is 1. Bets are placed on the ‘banker’, the ‘player’, or on a tie (these aren’t really people; they simply represent the 2 hands that are dealt).

Two hands of 2 cards are then dealt to the ‘house’ and ‘player’. The total for every hand is the sum of the cards, although the first number is dumped. For instance, a hand of 5 and 6 has a total of 1 (five plus 6 equals 11; ditch the initial ‘one’).

A 3rd card might be dealt using the following rules:

- If the gambler or bank has a total of 8 or nine, both players hold.

- If the gambler has less than 5, she takes a card. Players otherwise stand.

- If the gambler holds, the bank takes a card on a value lower than 5. If the gambler hits, a guide is used to decide if the bank holds or hits.

Baccarat Banque Odds

The greater of the 2 scores wins. Winning wagers on the house payout 19 to 20 (even money less a five percent commission. Commission are recorded and cleared out when you leave the game so be sure to have money left over just before you quit). Winning bets on the gambler pays out at one to one. Winning wagers for tie normally pays 8:1 but occasionally nine to one. (This is a poor wager as ties occur less than one in every ten hands. Be wary of betting on a tie. However odds are substantially greater for nine to one vs. 8:1)

Bet on properly baccarat offers relatively good odds, apart from the tie wager of course.

Baccarat Chemin de Fer Strategy

As with all games baccarat chemin de fer has some general misconceptions. One of which is close to a misunderstanding in roulette. The past isn’t a prophecy of future outcomes. Tracking past results on a page of paper is a waste of paper and an affront to the tree that surrendered its life for our paper desires.

The most established and almost certainly the most favorable method is the one, three, two, six tactic. This method is used to pump up profits and limit losses.

Start by wagering one chip. If you succeed, add 1 more to the 2 on the game table for a sum of 3 units on the second bet. If you win you will now have 6 on the table, subtract four so you keep 2 on the 3rd round. Should you come away with a win on the third bet, put down two on the 4 on the table for a total of six on the fourth wager.

If you lose on the 1st round, you take a hit of 1. A profit on the 1st round followed by a hit on the 2nd creates a loss of two. Wins on the first 2 with a hit on the third gives you with a take of 2. And wins on the first 3 with a loss on the 4th means you experience no loss. Winning all 4 bets leaves you with 12, a take of 10. This means you can give up the second wager 5 instances for each successful streak of 4 rounds and still experience no loss.
