Baccarat Policies

Baccarat is played with 8 decks of cards in a shoe. Cards that are valued under ten are worth their printed number while at the same time 10, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each applied a value of 1. Bets are placed upon the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual contenders; they only portray the two hands to be given out).

Two hands of two cards are then dealt to the ‘banker’ and ‘player’. The value for any hand will be the sum total of the 2 cards, but the 1st digit is dropped. For e.g., a hand of 7 as well as five results in a total score of 2 (sevenplus5=twelve; drop the ‘one’).

A third card can be given depending on the foll. codes:

- If the bettor or banker has a value of 8 or nine, then both bettors stand.

- If the bettor has five or lower, he/she hits. Players stand otherwise.

- If gambler stands, the banker hits of five or less. If the gambler hits, a chart shall be used to decide if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The higher of the two scores will be the winner. Successful bets on the banker pay at nineteen to twenty (even money minus a five % commission. Commission is monitored and paid out when you leave the table so make sure you have funds left over before you leave). Bets on the player that end up winning pay one to 1. Winner bets for tie as a rule pay out eight to one but on occasion nine to 1. (This is a crazy gamble as ties will occur lower than one every 10 hands. Definitely don’t try betting on a tie. Nevertheless odds are decidedly better – nine to one vs. eight to one)

When played accurately, baccarat provides pretty good odds, aside from the tie bet of course.

Baccarat Strategy

As with all games, Baccarat has some established false impressions. One of which is similar to a misconception of roulette. The past is never actually an indicator of future results. Keeping track of prior outcomes on a chart is undoubtedly a waste of paper as well as an insult to the tree that gave its life for our stationary needs.

The most accepted and almost certainly most successful strategy is the one-3-2-6 scheme. This method is deployed to magnify payout and minimizing risk.

start by betting one unit. If you win, add 1 more to the two on the table for a total of 3 on the 2nd bet. If you win you will have 6 on the table, clear away 4 so you have 2 on the third wager. If you win the 3rd bet, add 2 to the four on the table for a sum of six on the 4th wager.

If you don’t win on the first wager, you suck up a loss of one. A win on the first bet followed up by loss on the 2nd creates a loss of 2. Wins on the 1st 2 with a loss on the third gives you a profit of 2. And wins on the first 3 with a loss on the fourth mean you break even. Getting a win on all four bets leaves you with twelve, a profit of 10. In other words you can fail to win the 2nd bet 5 times for every successful streak of 4 bets and still break even.
