Baccarat Rules

Baccarat Standards

Baccarat is played with eight decks of cards in a shoe. Cards of a value less than ten are valued at their printed value whereas 10, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each applied a value of 1. Wagers are placed upon the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual gamblers; they simply portray the two hands to be given out).

Two hands of two cards shall then be dealt to the ‘banker’ as well as ‘player’. The total for every hand shall be the grand total of the 2 cards, but the initial digit is dumped. For e.g., a hand of 7 … five has a total of two (7plusfive=12; drop the ‘1′).

A third card may be given out depending on the foll. practices:

- If the gambler or banker has a total score of eight or nine, then both bettors stand.

- If the gambler has five or lower, he/she hits. bettors stand otherwise.

- If bettor stands, the banker hits of 5 or lesser. If the gambler hits, a chart shall be used in order to determine if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The higher of the two scores wins. Winning wagers on the banker pay at 19 to twenty (even odds less a 5 percent commission. Commission is monitored and cleared out when you leave the table so make sure to have money left before you leave). Bets on the player that end up winning pay one to 1. Winner bets for tie usually pay out eight to 1 and sometimes nine to one. (This is a terrible bet as ties happen lower than 1 every ten hands. Stay away from putting money on a tie. Still, odds are thoroughly better – 9 to one versus eight to one)

Played effectively, baccarat presents fairly good odds, aside from the tie bet obviously.

Baccarat Tactics

As with many games, Baccarat has some common misconceptions. 1 of which is quite similar to a roulette myth. The past is in no way a predictor of future results. Monitoring of last results on a chart is a complete waste of paper … an insult to the tree that gave its life to be used as our stationary.

The most popular and probably most successful strategy is the one-3-two-six method. This scheme is deployed to maximize earnings and lowering risk.

Begin by wagering one unit. If you win, add one more to the 2 on the table for a total of 3 on the 2nd bet. If you win you will have 6 on the table, subtract 4 so you have two on the 3rd bet. If you win the third gamble, add two to the four on the table for a sum of 6 on the fourth gamble.

If you don’t win on the first wager, you suck up a loss of 1. A win on the 1st bet quickly followed by loss on the second causes a loss of 2. Wins on the first 2 with a loss on the 3rd gives you a profit of 2. And wins on the first three with a loss on the fourth mean you break even. Winning at all four bets leaves you with 12, a profit of ten. This means you can get beaten the second bet 5 times for every successful streak of 4 bets and still break even.
