Baccarat Policies

Baccarat is played with eight decks of cards in a shoe. Cards below a value of ten are of face value while at the same time ten, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each given a value of 1. Wagers are placed on the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual persons; they just act as the 2 hands to be dealt).

Two hands of two cards are then played to the ‘banker’ as well as ‘player’. The value for each hand is the total of the 2 cards, but the very first digit is discarded. For e.g., a hand of seven and five produces a tally of two (7plusfive=twelve; drop the ‘one’).

A third card could be given out depending on the following guidelines:

- If the bettor or banker has a tally of 8 or nine, each bettors stand.

- If the player has 5 or less, he hits. Players stand otherwise.

- If player stands, the banker hits of five or less. If the player hits, a chart shall be used in order to judge if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The larger of the 2 scores wins. Victorious bets on the banker pay at nineteen to twenty (even odds minus a five % commission. Commission is monitored and moved out when you leave the table so ensure you have dollars left before you leave). Winning bets on the player pay one to one. Winning bets for tie as a rule pays out at 8 to 1 and occasionally nine to one. (This is a terrible bet as ties will happen lower than one every ten hands. Run away from betting on a tie. Nonetheless odds are remarkably better – nine to one vs. 8 to one)

When done smartly, baccarat provides pretty decent odds, apart from the tie wager obviously.

Baccarat Strategy

As with every games, Baccarat has some common misconceptions. One of which is close to a roulette misconception. The past is in no way a predictor of future outcomes. Monitoring of last outcomes on a chart is undoubtedly a complete waste of paper as well as a slap in the face for the tree that gave its life to be used as our stationary.

The most accepted and possibly most successful method is the one-three-two-six scheme. This technique is used to boost profits and minimizing risk.

start by gambling 1 unit. If you win, add one more to the two on the table for a total of three on the 2nd bet. If you win you will have six on the table, remove four so you have 2 on the 3rd gamble. If you win the third gamble, add 2 to the 4 on the table for a grand total of 6 on the 4th wager.

If you don’t win on the first bet, you take a loss of one. A win on the first bet followed by loss on the 2nd causes a loss of 2. Wins on the first 2 with a loss on the third gives you a profit of two. And wins on the first 3 with a loss on the fourth mean you come out even. Winning at all four bets leaves you with twelve, a profit of ten. In other words you can lose the second bet 5 times for every successful streak of four bets and still break even.
